This Asian style lamp shade is truly one of a kind! A scarf was used along the top that is a burnout silk velvet. There are beautiful Chinese art style birds in black velvet with gold beads on a light blue background. 
 
The area just under the top panels is a straw gold colored fabric that resembles scales, reminiscent of dragons. The bottom 8 panels are black silk burnout velvet. 
Around the bottom are sections of beautiful black and gold real glass beaded fringe over a silky black rayon fringe.
 
Decorative black trims are used throughout.  A black velvet cord around the bottom of the top of the shade is topped with a straw gold loop trim that also resembles scales.
