This striking Turban lampshade is fashioned from a sumptuous silk burnout velvet, richly patterned in an array of vibrant tones—turquoise, rust, and deep shades of red—set against a warm dark gold mid-lining that lends depth and quiet luminosity to the design.
The domed top panel is of fine silk, delicately embroidered and lightly jeweled in subtle gemstone tones, echoing and enhancing the colors found throughout the velvet below. Separating the dome from the lower portion of the shade is a beautiful decorative trim set with turquoise gemstones, creating a jeweled band that draws the eye and unifies the composition.
Each sculpted panel is outlined in a finely worked braid of turquoise and metallic gold, framing the intricate patterning and adding definition to the graceful lines of the shade.
Below, a combination of long, six-inch turquoise beaded fringe and generous tassel fringe completes the composition. The tassels, in a deep, glowing red, fall in rhythmic intervals, while strands of turquoise beads catch the light and bring a lively sparkle that echoes the jewel-like tones of the shade above.
