This shade, which we call the Large Sheik, is a study in quiet elegance. Simple in design, yet rich in effect, it features the same fabric carried across all eight panels, allowing the beauty of the material to take center stage.
The fabric is a burnout silk velvet in a deep beige tone, set over a dark gold charmeuse mid-lining. When lighted, it produces a warm, inviting glow; when unlighted, its neutral coloring allows it to blend effortlessly into a variety of interiors.
The panels are outlined with a vintage-style chenille trim, accented by a delicate metallic scroll edging, adding subtle texture and refinement. Along the lower edge hangs a graceful fringe of five-and-a-half-inch beige beaded drops, lending movement and softness to the form.
Fully lined in silk charmeuse, the shade is crafted with both beauty and purpose in mind. Designed for a bridge lamp, it offers not only decorative appeal, but also functional downward light.
