The Small Sanddab is rendered here in a softly flowing chiffon, embroidered with delicate leaves and flowers in a light olive sage. The airy quality of the fabric allows the design to feel both graceful and organic, echoing the natural forms so often found in Art Nouveau design.
Each panel is defined with a fine metallic gold trim, paired with a coordinating braid that reflects the tones within the fabric. This same delicate trim continues upward, accenting the leaf-shaped panels and unifying the form of the shade. Along the lower edge, a New Old Stock metallic trim provides a refined foundation.
Suspended beneath is a shimmering fringe of iridescent and bronze glass beads, adding movement and depth. When illuminated, the fully silk charmeuse lining enhances the warmth of the light, bringing forward the subtle interplay of sage and gold.
The shade is paired with a complementary lamp base, sculpted in the form of large leaves and finished in harmonious tones of soft green with touches of gold. The finial above is a delicate piece, thoughtfully chosen to echo the motifs within the fabric.
The lamp stands 24 inches in height, with a base measuring approximately 8 inches across. The shade is 16 inches in diameter. Fitted with a harp and newly wired, the piece is both functional and decorative, casting a beautiful, ambient glow.
