The Garden Shade is a truly one-of-a-kind creation, handcrafted in the richly ornamented style of the late Victorian era and the turn of the 20th century.

This magnificent eight-panel shade is covered burn out silk velvet with a beautiful peacock images.

The interior is fully lined with silk fabric. A luxurious seven-inch light-gold rayon fringe surrounds the bottom of the shade, overlaid with scalloped beaded fringe for additional movement, texture, and sparkle.

When illuminated, most of the light is directed downward through the generous bottom opening. In a darkened room, the velvet panels also produce a very subtle, warm glow, creating an especially rich and atmospheric effect.

This shade would be an exceptional choice for a large floor lamp or substantial table lamp. Its graceful form, opulent materials, and ornate detailing strongly recall the beautiful decorative lampshades found in Victorian homes around the turn of the last century.
